St Cuthberts Way

Melrose - Holy Island (Lindisfarne)

The 100km long St Cuthbert's Way is one of the most beautiful of Scotland's Great Trails. Begining in Melrose in the Scottish Borders, where St. Cuthbert started his religious life in 650AD, it extends 100kms to Lindisfarne aka Holy Island - the Saint's resting place. But you do not need to be a pilgrim to enjoy the landscape, the superb views and history of this ancient path which takes you by riverbank, hills and moors to finally cross causeway to the island at low tide.
